It's refreshing to stumble upon a physician who understands that performing musicians are elite athletes, too! Dr. Estes was able to evaluate and treat my shoulder, arm, hand and knee pain more efficiently and accurately than the myriad of orthopedists and physical therapists I've seen over the course of my 40+ year career. I'm grateful for his generosity in sharing his knowledge of the 'why' of things. Due to the passage of time, some of my issues are now chronic, yet manageable. Where other physicians might go straight for a surgical solution or treat the symptom (not the cause), Dr. Estes is willing to share his knowledge of preventative care and maintenance. I wish I'd discovered this practice years ago!
Dr Estes being trained as a DO is what brought me to Renaissance but the improvement to the quality of my life is what will keep me there. Dr Estes listened to the answers to his questions and has helped me with areas that I assumed I had to live with being 66 yrs old. My back is MUCH better and do highly recommend him.

Dr. Estes took time to let me voice my concerns before completing a comprehensive symptom check. A plan of care was put in place. I had a fantastic experience at Renaissance Performance Medicine. I took my father to see Dr Estes after he struggled with hip pain and difficulty walking for several weeks. Dr Estes was incredibly attentive and spent over an hour with us. He asked thoughtful and thorough questions to fully understand the problem and then created a detailed treatment plan tailored to my dad's specific needs. Beyond his expertise, Dr Estes' kindness and excellent interpersonal skills made the entire visit a positive one. My father finally felt heard, cared for, and reassured throughout the process. Wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to others!

Dr. Kevin Estes helped me recently with my hoarseness problem which has gone on for awhile . He changed my medication and I am singing much more clearly for a longer time. I chose Dr Estes because he is a DO and has the philosophy to treat the whole body. He has a laser focus and his curiosity is off the charts. He is definitely giving his best effort to address your problem.. He spent a lot of time with me and took the opportunity to fully understand what was going on in my life at that time. He is truly an asset to Charlotte.
Dr Estes is fantastic. I have been in his care for four months. I never feel rushed when I am with him. At the first appointment, he spent a sifgnificant amount of time with me going over past medical issues, asking about my current state of health, and having me describe all the symptoms I was experiencing. He did a physical evaluation and then started a course of treatment which included several direct manipulations of muscles and joints. His methods are very gentle - but they get great results. Through four sessions with him, all of my symptoms have been resolved. I give Dr Estes five stars and recommend him to anyone who is experiencing pain, muscle and joint tightness, muscle spasms, or limited mobility.
Thoroughly impressed! My experience at Renaissance Performance Medicine was outstanding from start to finish, and this is coming from someone who works in a healthcare setting and knows what he's talking about. Scheduling was super easy and the staff that greeted me upon arrival were friendly and helpful. Virtually no wait at all. Dr. Estes is thorough, professional, and personable and it is clear he genuinely cares for his patients. My treatment in the clinic was very effective and Dr. Estes gave great tips on how to alleviate my back pain through small changes in my day to day routine.
My experience was very positive. Dr Estes has a comprehensive approach to medicine. He has the ability to consider how the body works as a whole unit and not just a collection of members. That kind of medical diagnosis is valuable.
